These days "two-color designs" have made inroads into advertising design not only for their simplicity and impact, but also due to a surge in popularity of analog printing techniques and "retro" printing. This book features a collection of advertising works including posters, flyers, pamphlets, packaging, and bookcovers, from Japan and abroad, impressive for their use of two or three match colors, or what we've termed "plus alpha" (the "plus" being a colored paper stock, or special finishing such as foil stamping, or a photograph or logo). The works are presented accompanied by the DIC / PANTONE / other match-color number, the CMYK percentage equivalents, and swatches of the colors used. Please note that the collection also includes cases of four-color process printed works that in visual effect are perceived as match colors. In closing, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many people who took the time to provide us with samples of their work.
