About the Author William R. Stanek (win2000scripting@tvpress.com) has an MS degree in information systems and over 15 years' hands–on experience with advanced programming and development. He is a leading network technology expert and an award–winning author. He is also a regular contributor to leading publications like PC Magazine, in which you'll often find his work in the "Solutions" section. He has written, co–authored, or contributed to over 20 computer books. Current or upcoming books include Windows NT Scripting Administrator's Guide, Microsoft Windows 2000 Administrator's Pocket Consultant, FrontPage 2000 Unleashed, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Administrator's Pocket Consultant, and Netscape Guide to the Mozilla Source Code. William is proud to have served in the Persian Gulf War as a combat crewmember on an electronic warfare aircraft. He flew on numerous combat missions into Iraq and was awarded nine medals for his wartime service, including one of the United States of America's highest flying honors, the Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross. Currently, he resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and three children.
