This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Emergence and Evolution of Linguistic Communication, EELC 2006, held in Rome, Italy, in September/October 2006.
The 12 revised full papers presented together with 5 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions.
