Simulation on Hydration of Tricalcium Silicate in Cement Clinker

This book is written based on authors' research on cement hydration during the past decade. It establishes simulation model to evaluate the influence of crystal defects on the dissolution of tricalcium silicate and morphology change of particles and explores the hydration kinetics and microstructure development of tricalcium silicate under the mixed control of dissolution, diffusion, as well as boundary nucleation and growth. It also provides a theoretical basis for regulating the microstructure and performance of cement-based materials. Dr. Xin Wang is Postdoctoral Researcher at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Hohai University. With a Ph.D. from Hohai University, he has dedicated his career to unraveling the mysteries of construction materials and structures. Driven by a deep curiosity, he has published several high-level research papers on the hydration mechanisms and properties of tricalcium silicate. Through his work, he aims to make complex scientific concepts accessible to a wider audience.
