This book is a translated, adapted and expanded version of the original Spanish edition "Cienciagramers" by Angela Quintana Vega, published by Caligrama in 2024. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. The text has subsequently been revised further by the author to refine the work stylistically.
Dr. Ángela Quintana Vega (Valladolid, Spain, 1986) earned her degree in Biochemistry from the University of Salamanca and pursued her doctoral studies at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, affiliated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She began her Ph.D. there and completed it at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. Currently, she works as a medical monitor in breast cancer clinical research at AstraZeneca in Cambridge, United Kingdom. She has authored numerous publications in various scientific journals, in addition to writing articles in scientific dissemination to inspire others interested in the field. She has delivered many talks at high schools, universities and science museums, encouraging students to explore scientific and healthcare careers. She additionally mentors those who are looking for advice to advance their careers.
Ángela is passionate about the piano, a hobby that has led her to perform in numerous public places, including hospitals, as she deeply believes in the healing power of music.
