Dr. Kumar collaborates internationally, including with Russian teams on PIC simulations for gamma-ray generation and German groups on quantum plasma. He is pioneering studies on turbulence using quantum electrodynamics and introducing a mixed Kappa distribution for Fermion-Boson systems.
