Dr. Wahyu Purwo Raharjo, S.T., M.T. has completed his bachelor and master’s education at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and his doctoral program at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia. His doctoral thesis is entitled “Characterization of LDPE-matriced Composites Reinforced by Fibers from Zalacca (Zalacca Edulis) Midribs.” Currently, he serves as an associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. Besides his position as a lecturer, he is a member of the Non-metallic Materials Engineering and Processing Research Group in Universitas Sebelas Maret. He has some research interests in engineering materials, especially ceramics and composites. His current research is to study the effect of weather exposure on the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of natural fiber-polymer composites being performed by accelerated and natural weathering.
