Prof. Deepali Virmani is professor and HOD B.Tech Programmes at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies-Technical Campus, affiliated to GGSIPU, New Delhi. Dr. Deepali Virmani has received her Ph.D Computer Science from Delhi University and M.Tech. degree in Information Technology, from GGSIPU, and B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from MDU, India. She has an innovative work experience of more than 22 years in both research and academics. She has published more than 120 research papers in international journals/National journals/International conferences of repute (SCIE/ESCI/SCOPUS). She works in a multi-disciplinary environment involving sensor networks, web intelligence, data mining and intelligent information retrievSal systems and machine learning applied to various real-world problems. Dr. Virmani has more than 2400 academic citations index as per Google Scholar with H index 17. She has guided more than 70 B.Tech Projects. Presently, she is guiding many Ph.D. scholars registered with reputed universities like GGSIPU, Galgotias and UPTU. She has organized 3 AICTE sponsored International Conferences with proceedings in Springer LNNS series and ESCI Taylor and Francis Journal as a convenor. She is the associate editor of journal Open Computer Science De Grutyer and also on the reviewer board of various IEEE transactions, Elsevier and Springer journals. She has organized many professional activities like FDPs (20), workshops, expert lectures, seminars (100+) in her tenure as Head of the Department of CSE at Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, New Delhi. She has been the session chair in National/International conferences. Her papers have won Best Paper Award at various International Conferences. She has won Best Researcher Award and Best Faculty Award at BPIT. She has been awarded Excellence in Research Award by International Research Awards on New Science Inventions, Best Head of the Department Award by ULA, Excellence in Research by Global Research Foundation She has also served as a convenor of Optical Communication Committee for GGS Indraprastha University (IPU) B.Tech syllabus designing committee. 5 Innovative patents, patent number 2020102338, 2020102618, 2020102631, 2020103341, 2020103768, designed by her have been granted by Australian Government. She has also published 7 national patents with Intellectual property rights, India.
Oscar Castillo holds the Doctor in Science degree (Doctor Habilitatus) in Computer Science from the Polish Academy of Sciences (with the Dissertation “Soft Computing and Fractal Theory for Intelligent and Manufacturing”). He is a Professor of Computer Science in the Graduate Division, Tijuana Institute of Technology, Tijuana, Mexico. In addition, he is serving as Research Director of Computer Science and head of the research group on Hybrid Fuzzy Intelligent Systems. Currently, he is President of HAFSA (Hispanic American Fuzzy Systems Association) and Past President of IFSA (International Fuzzy Systems Association). Prof. Castillo is also Chair of the Mexican Chapter of the Computational Intelligence Society (IEEE). He also belongs to the Technical Committee on Fuzzy Systems of IEEE and to the Task Force on “Extensions to Type-1 Fuzzy Systems”. He is also a member of NAFIPS, IFSA and IEEE. He belongs to the Mexican Research System (SNI Level 3). His research interests are in Type-2 Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy Control, Neuro-Fuzzy and Genetic-Fuzzy hybrid approaches. He has published over 300 journal papers, 10 authored books, 60 edited books, 300 papers in conference proceedings, and more than 300 chapters in edited books, in total more than 1080 publications (according to Scopus) with h index of 88 and more than 26000 citations according to Google Scholar. He has been Guest Editor of several successful Special Issues in the past, like in the following journals: Applied Soft Computing, Intelligent Systems, Information Sciences, Soft Computing, Non-Linear Studies, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, JAMRIS and Engineering Letters. He is currently Associate Editor of the Information Sciences Journal, Journal of Engineering Applications on Artificial Intelligence, International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Complex Intelligent Systems, Granular Computing Journal and Intelligent Systems Journal (Wiley). He was Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Soft Computing and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems. He has been elected IFSA Fellow in 2015 and MICAI Fellow in 2016. Finally, he recently received the Recognition as Highly Cited Researcher in 2017 and 2018 by Clarivate Analytics and Web of Science.
