Topics explored include the cellular basis of atherosclerosis; stroke risk factors; head and neck bruits in stroke prevention; the present status of anticoagulant prophylaxis; hypertension and stroke prevention; and prevention of cardioembolic stroke, as well as the efficacy of aspirin and of ticlopidine in stroke prevention.
