Autore

Arpan Deyasi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. He has 13 years of professional experience in academics and industry. He earned a BSc (Hons), a BTech, an MTech at the University of Calcutta. He is working in the area of semiconductor nanostructure and semiconductor photonics. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed research papers and a few edited volumes under the banner of CRC Press, IGI Global, etc. His major teaching subjects are solid state device, electromagnetics, photonics. He has organized international and national conferences, faculty development programmes, workshops, laboratory and industrial visits, seminars and technical events for students under the banner of IE(I) Kolkata section. He is also associated with a few reputed conferences. He is reviewer of a few journals of repute and some prestigious conferences in India and abroad. He has delivered a few talks and conducted hands-on sessions on nanoelectronics, photonics and electromagnetics in various FDPs, workshops, seminars. He is the editor of various conference proceedings and edited volumes. He is a member of IEEE Electron Device Society, IE(I), Optical Society of India, IETE, ISTE, ACM, etc. He is working as SPOC of RCCIIT Local Chapter (NPTEL course), Nodal Coordinator of e-outreach programme and Internshala, Faculty Advisor of the student chapter of Institution of Engineers (India) in ECE Department. Pampa Debnath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. She has more than 12 years of professional teaching experience in academics. She earned a BTech and an MTech at the University of Burdwan. Her research interest covers the area of microwave devices, microstrip patch antennas, SIW based circuit and antenna. She has published several research papers in IEEE Xpore, Microsystem Technologies-Springer, CRC Press and in some national and international conferences, and a few edited volumes under the banner of CRC Press, IGI Global, etc. Her major teaching subjects are electromagnetics, RF and microwave and antenna. She has already served as editor as well as technical chair of One International Conference (ICCSE 2016), which is published by CRC Press, coordinated a few faculty development programmes, workshops, laboratory and industrial visits, seminars and technical events under the banner of the Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata section. She is also associated with a few national and international conferences. She is a reviewer of few journals of repute and some national and international conferences. She is the editor of various conference proceedings and edited volumes. She has conducted hands on session on photonics, electromagnetics and microwaves in various FDPs, workshops and seminars. She is a member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), International Association for Engineers (IAENG). Asit Kumar Datta is a former Professor and former Head of the Department of Applied Physics and later of the Department of Applied Optics and Photonics, University of Calcutta. He earned a PhD in power electronics at the University of Calcutta. After his retirement from Calcutta University, he acted as Dean and mentor of three engineering colleges in West Bengal. He was teaching and conducting research for more than 40 years in the Department of Applied Physics and the Applied Optics and Photonics. Professor Datta has contributed significantly in the area of power electronics, control instrumentation, photonic image processing and photonics computing. He executed 12 funded and sponsored research projects and has published more than 120 papers in national and international journals and conference proceedings and also guided 14 research students toward their PhD degrees. He has also published two books through CRC Press in the area of face recognition and information photonics. He represented India at the International Commission for Optics (ICO), Paris and was the Indian representative in two divisions of the International Commission of Illumination (CIE), Geneva. He was an Advisor of UPSC, Member of Photonics programme of DRDO, expert of NBA in electronics and communication. Siddhartha Bhattacharyya earned his Bachelors in Physics, Bachelors in Optics and Optoelectronics and Masters in Optics and Optoelectronics from University of Calcutta, India in 1995, 1998 and 2000 respectively. He completed PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, India in 2008. He is the recipient of the University Gold Medal from the University of Calcutta for his Masters. He is the recipient of several coveted awards including the Distinguished HoD Award and Distinguished Professor Award conferred by Computer Society of India, Mumbai Chapter
