New Practices - New Pedagogies A Reader

Practices in the arts have changed radically over the past two decades, as have the social and economic contexts in which the arts are produced. This book asks how arts education - particularly in visual art - has changed to meet new needs or shape new futures for its production and reception. The first section introduces broad contextual frameworks. The second examines new directions in practice. The third and longest section gives cases from and insights into a changing pedagogy.
