The Windows SharePoint Services environment is designed for easy and flexible deployment, administration, and application development. More than 20,000 large organizations have WSS available to deploy. Of those, roughly 1 in 4 organizations eligible to deploy WSS has already done so. Of those eligible organizations that have not deployed, 42 percent plan to deploy within the next 12 months. Organizations running WSS have six active sites on average.
