Friends of Type are a fun-loving collective of respected designers from Brooklyn and San Francisco. Since 2009, they've been collaborating on commercial work as well as on an online project into which they post their cheerful experiments in cutting-edge type design. Inspired by everything from skateboarding to 1980s pop culture, this collection of 100 postcards features some of their most popular designs, from birthday greetings and valentines to anthemic slogans, all rendered in vibrant color and elegant type. Subdivided into categories (such as optimism, salutations, and affection), this deluxe box also includes a mini zine that explores the group's varied inspirations and enthusiastic design process.
