"High Voltage Tattoo" is not just the name of the California tattoo shop where "L.A. Ink" is filmed, but also the title of Kat Von D's first book. You will learn about Von D's upbringing, her influences, and the stories behind some of the tattoos featured therein. The pictures are amazing. The book reminds me of a high-school yearbook with its puffed cover and glossy pages. In some aspects of society tattoos (and body piercings) are not 100% accepted by those who put their noses up in the air over such things.
