Financial Economics A Concise Introduction to Classical and Behavioral Finance

Financial economics is a fascinating topic where ideas from economics, mathematics and, most recently, psychology are combined to understand financial markets. This book gives a concise introduction into this field and includes for the first time recent results from behavioral finance that help to understand many puzzles in traditional finance. Thorsten Hens is a Swiss Finance Institute Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Zurich. He studied in Bonn and Paris and previously held positions in Stanford and Bielefeld.

Marc Oliver Rieger is a Professor for Banking and Finance at the University of Trier. He studied in Constance and obtained his Ph.D. from the MPI in Leipzig. Previously he held senior researcher positions in Zürich at the ETH and the University, as well as in Carnegie Mellon, Pisa, Caltech, Bielefeld and Bonn.
