Precuts allowed quilters the flexibility and time to sew through the three layers than the actual sewing processes did; only a few times did one need to trim or carry out any other cutting-related procedure. Precuts come in the form of rolls of fabric, and these rolls are often known as collections. They contain one kind of fabric, and every patch usually blends with the others with respect to their hues, patterns, and designs. It was a perfect solution to half of the problems quilting presented.
The quilting machine was also introduced, and with that, more intricate and ornate designs could be made. However, even with all of these, we cannot overlook that the process of quilting requires working with several dimensions and measurements; a wrongly cut fabric could often lead to a whole project being ruined. Several considerations have to be catered for, and they include the ¼" allowance for the seams, dimensions for the quilt face—10" by 2", 4" by 3", and so on.
