A person may spend a long time, and sometimes even their entire life, searching for a way to understand themselves and their actions. They wonder why certain situations affect them in certain ways, or why their reactions can sometimes be exaggerated or less than expected, fast or slow, deep or shallow. Many people don't bother to search for answers to these questions! Either they are content with who they are, or they don't recognize the importance of self-awareness and, consequently, the importance of understanding how to manage their own emotions first, in order to manage the emotions of others. Some people link their emotional management with their level of maturity, but does maturity depend on a specific age, or does it come with a wealth of experiences? And do people truly benefit from their experiences? The answers may vary, but most would agree on the importance of a person realizing their own self and decoding it as early as possible, so they can enjoy this short life to the fullest.
