Neural network-based algorithms ?nd numerous applications in di?erent scienti?c ?elds and, in particular, in the various areas of engineering. In Civil Engineering, however, there are still few applications of such methods. The purpose of this thesis is to apply the resolution capabilities of arti?cial neural networks to structural design.
