This volume constitutes the refereed revised proceedings of the First United Kingdom Workshop on Case-Based Reasoning, held in Salford, UK in January 1995.The 16 revised papers presented are organized in theoretical and application papers; in addition, there is a comprehensive introduction to the volume and case-based reasoning in general by the volume editor.
