AUTORE

Sam Kauffmann is a professor at Boston University's College of Communication, where he teaches digital editing and film production. He is an award-winning video and filmmaker with numerous credits as a cinematographer and editor. His work has aired on network and local television stations throughout America. Included among his credits are Show Your Love, Fire: Countdown to Disaster, Killing Time, Surviving the Family, and South Africa: Building Democracy, about six South Africans who are helping to build a new nation from the rubble of apartheid.Ashley Kennedy is an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago where she teaches advanced post-production courses. She is also on staff at Columbia College's Center for Innovation in Teaching Excellence (CITE), where she designs and delivers technology-related workshops to campus-wide faculty on a variety of digital media and web-based topics. Additionally, she has authored several extensive e-courses on for the online training site, lynda.com, on the topic of Avid Media Composer. Prior to her jump to higher education, Ashley was the Principal Instructor at Avid Technology, Inc., where she developed and taught courses within the Avid Certified curriculum, contributing to more than a dozen in-classroom and e-learning courses. She also managed the Avid Certified Instructor program and co-managed the Avid Authorized Training Partner program. Ashley holds a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois, and an M.F.A in Film from Boston University.
