"Working with Children in Art Therapy "is a collection of ten generously illustrated papers by experienced art therapists, each working within a specialized field but also as a part of professional team. Each paper shows how the art process, in a sensitive therapeutic relationship, can reveal both the inner world of the child and his or her experiences of the outer world, offering another language in which to express feelings about whatever has brought the child to therapy.

Contributions include the experience of working with children in psychiatric clinics, the practice of art therapy in mainstream and special schools, work with abused children, and the language of art therapy and non-verbal communication.
