Post-medieval archaeology in the Nordic countries has experienced rapid growth since the late 1990s, driven by urban development and increasing recognition of the period's importance. Sanna Lipkin is University Research Fellow at the University of Oulu and Adjunct Professor in textile archaeology at the University of Turku. She has specialized in archaeology of emotional attachment, childhood, funerary archaeology, the study of mummified human remains, and 3D-documentation of archaeological textiles. Titta Kallio-Seppä PhD, M.Sc. (Econ) is a museum director at the Museum of Torne Valley and a docent in historical archaeology at the University of Oulu. She specializes in urban archaeology, cultural heritage, museum studies, and the study of burial practices.
