The Oxford Book of Organ Music by Black Composers celebrates the rich legacy of Black composers from the nineteenth century to the present day. The anthology brings together historical works, contemporary compositions, and newly commissioned pieces, offering a wide stylistic range for liturgical, concert, and educational settings. Highlighting music that has often been overlooked, the collection provides representation across time and places the repertoire in its historical context. It is an essential resource for organists and a compelling introduction to a body of organ music that both enriches and diversifies the instrument's repertoire.
