Stakeholder Engagement

This book analyses the relationship between stakeholder engagement practices and organizational sustainability across sectors and disciplines. It illuminates the relationships between the inputs and processes, vital for all kinds of organizations to engage stakeholders. Then, it describes the mutually-valued outcomes that can produce broader organizational impacts and sustainability. Each chapter is structured around a logic model that provides an analytical framework to engage the reader in strategic analysis and offer practical applications for adaptation and implementation in any organization. Aimee L. Franklin is a Presidential Professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. Her research interests are public budgeting and financial management, citizen participation, and stakeholder engagement. As a member of the Arizona Governor’s Strategic Planning and Budgeting Office, she was influential in public policy development and a key actor in planning and budget reform implementation. She has professional experience in the retail savings and mortgage lending industries.
