Professor Stanislaw Zawislak, Ph.D., D.Sc. has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Conference “Engineer of the XXI Century” since its inception. He graduated from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland (1979) and received his Ph.D. from the TU Gdansk, Poland (1990). He subsequently engaged in two brief postdoctoral fellowships (1992, 1993) at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. At present, he works at the University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland. He has published over 100 scientific articles, and recently edited the book “Graph-based modelling in engineering” (Springer, 2017). His main areas of interest are applications of graph theory in MMS (especially planetary gears) and art, and the optimization of graph-related problems using evolutionary algorithms.
Lecturer Jacek Rysinski, Ph.D., has been a member of the Organizing Committee of the Conference “Engineer of the XXI Century” since its inception. Currently Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland, his main areas of interest are problems on fatigue of geared wheels; modelling using the BEASY (boundary elements) system; and robotics.
