COVID-19 in the Environment: Impact, Concerns, and Management of Coronavirus highlights the research and technology addressing COVID-19 in the environment, including the associated fate, transport, and disposal. It examines the impacts of the virus at local, national, and global levels, including both positive and negative environmental impacts and techniques for assessing and managing them. Utilizing case studies, it also presents examples of various issues around handling these impacts, as well as policies and strategies being developed as a result.

Organized into six parts, COVID-19 in the Environment begins by presenting the nature of the virus and its transmission in various environmental media, as well as models for reducing the transmission. Deepak Rawtani is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, India. His research focuses on forensic nanobiotechnology, particularly the interaction of DNA with nanoparticles and the functionalization of halloysite nanotubes for environmental applications, drug delivery, and enzyme immobilization. In his field of research, Dr. Rawtani has published more than 75 scientific papers and manuals with reputable international journals. He not only conducts research but also serves as a NABL-empowered Technical Assessor (ISO/IEC 17025).
Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor and Lab. Director in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at
New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, United States. His main research focus is on the applications of nanotechnology and advanced materials, environmental management, and analytical chemistry.
Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as a prolific author and editor of several books, including scientific monographs and handbooks in his research areas.
Nitasha Khatri is a Senior Scientific Officer and Head of Laboratory at Gujarat Environment Management Institute, India. She has 15
years of experience in the field of environmental sciences with water, air, and soil pollution studies. She has been actively contributing
to the field of rural environment studies and water monitoring studies, including rivers, lakes, and sewage.
