This book gathers selected contributions from the 10th Annual Conference of the Global Corporate Governance Institute, held in Sibiu, Romania on June 12 - 14, 2024.  

Its chapters present the work of internationally respected scholars and experts, focusing on corporate social responsibility, sustainability, ethics, corporate governance, finance, and responsible investing. In this context, it highlights the latest research findings on responsible action and their practical implications for business, society, science, and politics.

Autore

Cristina  Tanasescu is Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu, Romania (LBUS). Her main research interests include theoretical economics, philosophy and methodology of economics, economic epistemology, economic and institutional modeling, and financial markets. She is member of national and international scientific associations and Associated Editor of the journal Management of Sustainable Development.  

Camelia Oprean-Stan is Professor at Sibiu's Lucian Blaga University (LBUS) Romania. She teaches finance courses at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels at LBUS's Faculty of Economic Sciences. Her areas of expertise include finance, corporate finance, and sustainable finance.  She is member of national and international scientific societies and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Management of Sustainable Development.

Samuel O. Idowu is Professor at London Metropolitan University (UK). He is Fellow Member of the Chartered Governance Institute, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, and Named Freeman of the City of London. Samuel Idowu has been in academia for more than 30 years. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of CSR, Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, and also series editor of the book series CSR, Sustainability, Ethics & Governance.

Belen Díaz is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Cantabria (Spain) and Academic Director at Santander Financial Institute (SANFI) Spain. The quality of her research was recognized with the "Sanchis Alcover Award", awarded by the Scientific Association of Economy and Management. She is currently part of the academic advisory committee at the Global Corporate Governance Institute (USA). Her main research interests include, among others CSR, corporate governance, sustainable finance, mergers and acquisitions, and companies’ valuation.
