Multiple Sclerosis: Diagnosis and Therapy

In the last 10 years, multiple sclerosis has entered a new era. This is related to the advent of FDA approved therapies, MRI imaging and a better understanding of the different clinical characteristics of the disease. The care of the MS patient has become more complex and presents a challenge to the treating physician because of the chronic nature of the disease and the heterogeneous picture it presents. The proposed book will cover the current principles of diagnosis and treatment of MS. It is designed for the treating physician that cares for MS patients, both neurologists and non-neurologists. It will provide the necessary background regarding the pathogenesis of MS and will approach treatment for the various stages and types of MS.
